The beautiful city of Funchal hides an exciting past full of stories and flavours to unravel in its streets and alleys. Join us on a Food and Wine Walking Tour through the city, discovering our gastronomy, history, architecture and of course our wines! We’ll take you to taste the most traditional and authentic gastronomy from some restaurants, wine producers and the local market.

MEETING POINT

The Food & Wine Walking Tour takes place every Tuesday and Thursday and it starts at 10h30. Attendance is required 15 minutes before the start of the tour. The meeting point is at Infante Roundabout right next to “H&M” store at 10h15.

CANCELLATION POLICY / REMARKS

For a full refund, cancellation is required at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.
Adult pricing applies to all travelers.
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
Adequate for cruises, as meeting point is within walking distance from the port and you get to walk though the city centre. Since you won’t feel the need to have lunch after the tour, you will have the remaining hours to enjoy as you wish before you get back to the cruise ship.

Sun-dried Gaiado (small species of tuna fish), Beef meat marinated in wine and garlic, “Bolo do Caco” typical bread with garlic butter and “Coral” Madeiran Beer.
