A journey to the two most important wine regions on the Island with their diversified wines while enjoying the amazing traditional latadas vineyards and the history of wine on the Island. All this is topped with several tastings of locally produced wines during the day. An amazing tour that will take you to meet local vintners and their stories

  • Traditional Poncha and Madeira Fortified Wine tastings in the fishermen’s Village of Câmara de Lobos where Sir Winston Churchill painted the Bay of this charming Village.

Why book this tour: It’s the only comprehensive Wine tour on the Island that covers the whole Madeira Island wine history. On this tour we visit the two most important wine regions including tastings of still, farmer’s and Fortified Wines. Tour made with small groups and at a relaxed pace.

Lunch Description: Lunch includes 3 course meals, meat or fish, coffee and drinks are included. Vegetarian and Gluten free options are available upon request when booking the tour. Last minute requests won’t be accepted.

Areas and Localities: First half of our tour takes place on the North side of the Island, between Porto Moniz and São Vicente. The Tour will end on the Southern west coast at the stunning old town and bay of Câmara de Lobos city.

Sightseeing: Views over the Valley of São Vicente with its lush green forests and beautiful sloped terraces. The Bride’s Veil one of the most breath-taking waterfalls in the North Coast. An outstanding view over the Village of Porto Moniz on the Northwest and the Village of Ponta Delgada on the Northeast. Visit to the charming Village of Seixal. On the South west coast, visit to Câmara de Lobos bay, where Sir Winston Churchill painted this beautiful anchorage.

WC Stop & Coffee Break: Yes, in São Vicente for WC and coffee break. Coffee not included. Toilets are available for use at every stop except Seixal.

Minimum of 4 participants is required


1. Due to safety reasons we may cancel, postpone or change any tours if adverse weather conditions, an insufficient number of participants or any other unfavorable circumstances occur.

2. Refunds due to client cancellation have the following rules:

• until 48 hours before the scheduled activity will be refunded 100%;
• between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled activity, 50% of the value will be refunded;
• after 24 hours there will be no refund.

3. Full refund after 48 hours only valid upon presentation of a medical certificate.
